چکیده
Pinned base plate connections are the most common connection used in low-rise steel buildings. In this research, an extensive parametric study is performed using Finite Element (FE) software Abaqus to determine elastic rotational stiffness, moment resistance, and energy absorption of pinned connected a reinforced concrete footing subjected eccentric axial load. The developed FE model validated experimental results from literature. Moreover, intensive conducted understand behavior these better. investigated parameters include thickness, anchor bolt diameter, arrangement number bolts. effective that affect stiffness resistance diameter. maximum increase was 53% for diameter 30 mm when thickness increased 12 mm. Based on improved by 150–260% increases

15 صفحه اولOPTIMAL DESIGN OF COLUMNS FOR AN INTERMEDIATE MOMENT FRAME UNDER UNIAXIAL MOMENT AND AXIAL LOADS
The present study addresses optimal design of reinforced concrete (RC) columns based on equivalent equations considering deformability regulations of ACI318-14 under axial force and uniaxial bending moment. This study contrary to common approaches working with trial and error approach in design, at first presents an exact solution for intensity of longitudinal reinforcement in column section by...
متن کاملIn Vivo Passive Axial Rotational Stiffness of the Thoracolumbar Spine
The objective of this study was to report the passive axial rotational stiffness of the thoracolumbar spine in asymptomatic volunteers. A secondary objective was to investigate if an asymmetry exists between right and left axial rotational spine stiffness. Eighteen young asymptomatic volunteers, nine male and nine female, were tested using a previously validated axial rotational tester. Volunte...
متن کاملAsymptotic Analysis of Stability for Prismatic Solids under Axial Loads
This work addresses the stability of axially loaded prismatic beams with any simply connected crosssection. The solids obey a general class of rate-independent constitutive laws, and can sustain finite strains in either compression or tension. The proposed method is based on multiple scale asymptotic analysis, and starts with the full Lagrangian formulation for the three-dimensional stability p...
متن کاملA Survey on Buckling and Vibrations of a Viscoelastic Beam under Distributed Lateral and Axial Loads
In this paper, based on Kelvin and Linear Standard Solid models, dynamic response and the buckling load of a viscoelastic beam under lateral and axial loads have been determined. The governing equations have been extracted using Euler and Timoshenko theories and their analytical solutions have been obtained by using the eigenfunctions expansion method. Buckling load have been calculated by us...
